At the Koh Tao Playskool and Daycare our priority is to provide the very best quality in childcare and education: which is why our staff all come with childcare qualifications and teachers are native English speakers with Bachelor degrees in Education. We follow the British curriculum which is what our teachers train in at university and come with the skills to manage and plan for all abilities and ages.
Our class sizes are small so we are able to provide each individual child plenty of 1:1 time with their teacher.
We provide a clean, safe and nurturing environment and offer separate rooms for each age group with the appropriate equipment and setup.
We have an abundance of resources so we can deliver fun and creative lessons and every half term we like to transform our rooms into the latest theme.
Communication with our parents is important to us which is why every child in our school has a communication book that is updated daily by teachers, however teachers are readily available to talk with our parents at pick up and drop off. We also have a parent communication board which is updated regularly so you can see exactly what your child is learning, eating and any upcoming events to take place. Grand parents and family members are important too which is why we post daily updates of what is going on in their child’s class.
Everyday our children are offered a healthy morning snack, a nutritious western/Thai style lunch and homemade baked afternoon snacks with a variety of vegetables, textures and new international dishes for them to try.
We believe that our children do need a break from their learning however our doors only close 14-16 days in an entire year and include daycare during these school breaks. During our summer holiday we provide an exciting kids camp and take children off site to try new activities and water sports.
At the end of every term our children are assessed to record their progress to make sure we are meeting every child’s individual needs and have parent teacher consultations so we can work together with our parents to help in areas which their child may need improvement.
